Calgary Votes

Being that no one will likely ever read this, I am going to be honest here, repeat myself here, and say WHATEVER pleases me, here.

So the big Mayoral vote just happened here yesterday. First Muslim Mayor in any city in Canada. Wow, conservative cow-town has surprised me. Good, now let's see what he gets DONE. It is my observation that offering me 2 parties to "choose" from, really isn't a choice. I would like to think that the election, by a very wide margin, is a sign that Calgarians really are paying attention to his track record and made a choice based on thought rather than knee-jerk reaction to the fear mongering that is prevalent. We really should be proud in this country of how we handle this process. To the south of us, the "campaigning" commercials for civic and state politics, end up being a laundry list of what someone has done wrong in their personal lives. There are accusations of wrongdoing, sexual, financial, and god forbid you ever expressed an interest or affiliation to anything other than Christianity, you are bashed all over the place. It, quite frankly, resembles a Jerry Springer show. What a shame that there does not seem to be, within the ones who are comfortable, to see the need for COMPLETELY stripping the entire system apart and going in another direction. Too hard, I always hear. Ya, this way of doing things is so easy. Unless of course you are one of the ones who has NOTHING financially to fall to. NO security, at all. But you know what, I see people every day who have massive amounts of financial security, relative good health, some of them have put their bodies through hell, but managed to pull out and still have some looks or the money to "augment" the damage, and they are some of THE most scared people I see.

Thoughts while making dinner

When they refer to "time speeding up", they refer to the fact that there is less of it between our thoughts and the resulting effect. "Karma", if you hold that as a truth for yourself, is far more instant now. Gone are the lifetimes to see the results of our own thinking. Why can't it be instant? you ask? On the way to work in the morning, most would have killed several people out on the highway. Watch carefully, your consistent thinking. You will start to see a pattern, a back and forth, a give and receive. The more you can do this without judgment the faster you will see it. Then begins the journey back to all events you thought were caused by others, and OWN them. Then you have a MUCH freer use of the power that you have ALWAYS used.
